Sales increasing about 3.3 times, through refined training to our beauty staff

Intially we tackled the influx of Chinese visitors with beauty department employees and interpreters, however language and collaboration barriers led to inaccurate sales. In order to solve this issue and expand our sales, we brought on "Bilingual Beauty Department Employees" who could directly interact with our visitors.

As our first countermeasure, bilingual sales staff were placed in international airport duty-free shops nationwide, and counselling marketing was implemented. As a high expertise job, training was continued with specialized trainers to maintain and improve their skill. Additionally, we emphasized "working in a Japanese corporation" and "Japanese cosmetic marketing" for our Chinese staff who mainly work as beauty employees, to improve marketing. With these measures in place, sales expanded approximately 3.3 times in four years. With our results recognized, we decided to place bilingual sales staff in other areas such as city duty-free shops, department stores, drugstores and GMS. The number of staff has increased to more than 6 times the original number, and we continue to experience strong sales on a daily basis.
